Zoom2! Whitening
Zoom2 Whitening is the most popular form of teeth whitening and our preferred method because it’s precise, fast, convenient and long-lasting. What Zoom Whitening can take weeks to achieve with home whitening systems, can be accomplished in just one office visit!
The in-office Zoom procedure starts with a whitening gel applied to the surface of your teeth. Then the gel is activated by shining a low-intensity light over the teeth. This process allows oxygen onto the teeth effectively bleaching the teeth enamel and dentin and causing the teeth to turn a lighter shade. This improves the yellowing and discoloration of the teeth. Zoom teeth whitening can lighten your teeth by six to ten shades in one quick office visit! Plus, the entire whitening procedure only takes about an hour and you’ll see results immediately after.
Opalescence Tre`s White Supreme
As an alternative to Zoom2! Whitening, we also offer Opalescence Tre`s White Supreme whitening strips for the do-it-yourselfers.
Zoom2! Whitening | Only $549
Opalescence Tre`s White Supreme | Only $95
What are the Benefits of In-Office Teeth Whitening
Having stained or yellowed teeth can detract from a person’s appearance and lead to self-consciousness and embarrassment. Professional teeth whitening in our dental office can help you enjoy a bright, dazzling smile again. A few benefits of professional teeth whitening include:
It’s Safe
While there are at-home whitening kits available on the market, it’s generally best to get your treatment from a licensed dental professional. Not only do we use the best teeth whitening products available, but our dental team knows how to administer the treatment properly, increasing your chances of a successful whitening that will last.
It’s Effective
In many cases, the stains on your teeth will be challenging to remove. The most difficult types of stains to treat include those caused by long-term tobacco use and those caused by drinking darkly colored beverages, like coffee and cola. In instances where a patient’s teeth are severely stained, it is always best to let one of our experienced professionals do the whitening.
It’s Comfortable
Some patients might be concerned that the teeth whitening process will cause them discomfort. In fact, the Zoom2! teeth whitening system used at Smiles @ Southcenter is painless and entirely comfortable for most patients. The procedure itself usually takes an hour or less to complete.
It’s Fast
If you use a take-home teeth whitening kit, you will usually need to use it for weeks or even months before you notice any changes in the appearance of your teeth. By contrast, our dental team can perform the teeth whitening procedure in the space of a single visit. Instead of waiting, you’ll be able to enjoy the results of your teeth whitening treatment right away.

What are the Benefits of Whitening Your Teeth?
Your smile may lose its luster over the years for a wide array of reasons, but there are ways that we can help you rejuvenate your appearance. Teeth whitening can be done in or out of the dental office, but results tend to be more fruitful when you seek professional help. Thanks to the advantages it offers, teeth whitening has become a popular treatment in the field of cosmetic dentistry.
This type of dental treatment will leave you with brighter teeth so you can enjoy a more youthful appearance. Your teeth whitening treatment can do an excellent job of boosting your confidence, which makes you more inclined to show off your new smile. Teeth whitening can also be done more than once, so you can be sure to maintain the smile of your dreams. This type of procedure can be especially helpful if you work in the public eye.
How Does Tooth Whitening Work?
Teeth are often bombarded by staining agents every single day. Some of these stains can be erased with tooth whitening toothpaste, because they are surface stains, also called extrinsic stains. Other stains, known as intrinsic stains, form deeper in the more porous area of the teeth. These stains can only be removed by professional tooth whitening products.
As you can see in the short video, deep, intrinsic stains can only be removed with a peroxide bleaching solution. As the peroxide-based tooth whitening solution hits the intrinsic stains, it will break up the stain into smaller molecules. These tooth whitening products can be found in a dentist’s office and at drugstores. Both are safe and effective at removing teeth stains, though dental offices usually offer tooth whitening products with a higher concentration of bleaching agents for better results.
Who Can Benefit from Teeth Whitening?
Almost anyone can benefit from teeth whitening. Some patients see better results than others. Wtih an oral exam, we can determine if you are a candidate for this type of in-office treatment.
Is Tooth Whitening Safe?
Absolutely! Research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. In fact, many dentists consider teeth whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available. Teeth whitening products, like Zoom, are not recommended for children under the age of 13.
What is the Benefit of Zoom Over In-Home Whiteners Available at a Local Store?
At-home teeth whitening kits are widely available, but our dentists can provide you with more thorough and lasting results with in-office teeth whitening. Our teeth whitening eliminates deeper stains on your teeth which gives you a more attractive smile. We are also able to identify any underlying issues that might be causing your teeth to stain.
Whitening strips that are available at local stores can take weeks or months to whiten your teeth just a few shades. Zoom is clinically proven to whiten your teeth eight shades in just one hour or six shades in just one weekend.
